Hello Team,

We have an update about the progress of the project.
First of all, we want to thank you for all the support and for joining our project.

As time was getting closer the prices for the material kept growing rapidly. We have gone through iterations to realize the project without lowering the quality of the experience. With part of the materials already delivered and some crucial parts too expensive to get we have made a decision to not compromise the structure of “Time to Say Goodbye” installation but rather bring an installation that means something to everyone.

“Sorry” is the installation created by the same artist, Liosha Say,  in a form of five big letters and an emoji. Five meters tall it is a neutral word that means something to each one of us. We are all sorry for the loss of Larry Harvey who has founded the Burning Man movement and has given us all a chance to imagine and live in another reality at least for a short period of time.

We are also sorry for not being able to bring “Time to Say Goodbye” installation to the Playa this year but it has a chance to come full blown to Burning Man in 2019.

The installation “Sorry” required only additional support of $3000 and we almost achieved the goal for it thanks to YOU.
Additionally, we would like to share our excitement about the project and ability to bring more Ukrainian artists to Burning Man with beautiful installations.

As for “Time to Say Goodbye”, this is not over. Our project plan is now polished and the materials we have today can be reused again for the next year. Stay with us as we bring you on this wonderful journey in the dust.

P.S. You can pick up your gift on Play at 6:00 & I.
Those of you who choose to get a refund, please, contact alyona.owens@gmail.com by August 23rd, 2018 and we will send you a refund.

... Speaking of the crew, here we are:

Oleksiy Say and Svitlana Ratoshniuk are Ukrainian artists and the authors of "Time to Say Goodbye" and "Sorry" installations. Their works have been shown in Kyiv, Ukraine and abroad. When they don't paint and create, their time goes to volunteering and activism.

Oleksii Novikov is the project leader who jokes, "I will lose the last drop of my organizational skills by the end of this project".  Without Oleksii we wouldn't get so far and his deep care is felt through everything he does!

Ovsianko Oleksandr is the project engineer who's life credo is "Eat Build Burn Repeat". Oleksandr is the person who cheers you up. His sense of humor and optimism get us closer to the goal.
