Freedom Van for Pauline

One that drives itself…
Ok, it doesn’t actually drive itself, but it does allow someone, like myself, to drive without any arms or legs.
I know for many, the idea of driving without the use of limbs is something of the future. You should see the expression of fellow drivers as they pass me on the road. I usually look at them, shrug my shoulders and yell, "Look mom, no hands!"
But in all seriousness, technology has opened up the doors of freedom for someone like me to take her son to track practice, pick up dinner at the grocery store, meet a friend for coffee, and go to work. But that technology has a price.
My current situation requires me to step out in faith, humble myself, and ask for your help.
As independent as I'd like to believe I am, I know that there have been many people who have believed in me, stood up and helped me make the impossible possible.
By contributing, you'll be one of these people who help create possibility. By helping me get back on the road you will be making a difference.
See, when people encounter someone who has overcome great obstacles they are inspired. The simple act of me driving and living my active life joyfully expands their minds of what is possible. Countless times I have been approached by complete strangers who share how they are encouraged by watching me roll around with a smile on my face.
Thank you for joining the journey of possibility. And please invite all of your friends and family by sharing on your FB, Twitter (#FreedomVan), Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn, etc.
Words cannot express my humble gratitude for your generous contributions, patience and faith to make this possible.
Three years ago, I had a huge mountain to climb and at times, it seemed impossible. But I never lost faith and vision for what I knew could be done. Each of you were an essential part of this journey to the summit, comfirming my belief that the combined inherent kindness of people can make ANYTHING POSSIBLE.
So all I can simply say is “Thank You and I send my love to each of you.”
In my country Pauline, we say "piano, pianito" something like "steady, steady". You will get there, you will achieve your goal just because you deserve it and because I have to think that good things happens to good people. Don't ever feel bad about asking for help, you seem to be sorounded by people who loves you and I'm sure will jump to the opportunity to help you. Me? You can count on it. You rock. Plain and simple.
WOW! I didn't think we could possibly love Lucy's Taqueria in Hilo, Hawaii, anymore than we already do seeing as it's the best Mexican food in the State but, wow such a generous donation. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU. God Bless your beautiful ohana and business.
Aloha e Pauline, we've put info and links in the church bulletin and will do so again the remainder of the month. I've posted info and links on my various FB pages and send email to a bunch of family and friends - hope some of them respond! Have you asked St. Joe's and IHMary to something in their bulletins? I'll also start posting daily reminders for people to vote. Hope it continue to grow and grow!
Wow Pauline... In one breath I am sad... but in another breath, curious to know what is in store. If we have learned anything up here with WINfinity, it's that when the door you hoped for closes.... that just means there's another, better door coming. One that you couldn't have imagined! Let's set intention and continue to hold space for the next possible option, and I look forward to continuing to support you on this amazing journey to get you back journeying!! Love and Appreciation, Trae
